Troop Picnic 7/12/07

Here is a compilation of the emails regarding the troop picnic this Thursday posted to troop1785.org.

1. We returned home from summer camp yesterday, aside from a few bee-stings and banged-up toes, all fine. The troop did very well in camp-wide competitions, taking first in rifle, second in archery, and third in the track meet and the Paul Bunyan (big-deal camp-wide camp-craft games). All attending tested as “swimmers”.

2. The Thursday meeting will be the annual troop picnic at Ross Cove from 6 PM ’til 9PM. The troop will provide burgers and hot dogs, bring veggies, sides, desserts, and drinks. Swimming is available. Bring suits and towels. Bring pictures from summer camp if you have them.

Please park in front of the red house on the corner of Colston Lane and Lake Shore Drive (the red star on the map) as parking on Ross Drive is very limited. It is a short walk across Lake Shore and down Ross Drive to the picnic area.
Please respond with the number of people who will be attending from your family so that we can properly plan our purchases. The Troop Committee will supply hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, condiments, ice and paper goods. There will still be a need for veggies, salads, desserts, snackees, etc. If you would like to supply any of the needs please also respond to this with your donation. Also please supply drinks for your family. Thanks for your consideration and we will hope to see you at the picnic.
